The Expo segment of the Interstate Max light rail extension spans several challenging design and construction elements including environmentally and culturally sensitive areas, busy intersections, and heavy rail lines.
It features two stations with three systems buildings at each station, a 4,000-foot-long bridge section, 28 spans, and one mile of on-grade track, as well as parking lots and associated utilities for the stations.
Ted Aadland of F.E. Ward and Associates led construction of this $34 million project. David Evans and Associates provided lead design.
